Great pho, broth was flavorful. The grilled pork was tasty. Restaurant was full on a Monday night, which is a good indication of it's popularity. They even handed out a free dessert (mung bean tapioca soup).
My co-workers and their family love to eat Pho and Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio here. Not to mention - FREE THAI TEA! Yes! I'm in! Free soda if you do not like Thai Tea. Complimentary dessert at the end but this is more of an acquired taste. Filet mignon with rice and egg was declicious - per my co-worker. I ordered Egg rolls and Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio - they forgot my cucumber. Egg rolls - very crunchy outside and soft meat inside wrap in lettuces and dip in fish sauce. Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio - they did not put any cucumber in there but everything else was in there. Other places charge similar price but I also get shrimps. Here, no shrimps. Meats were well marinated but a little bit dry. Egg roll was ok. Fish sauce was too light for me. Please improve service or hire more people. Food took a long time to come out. I am used to eating at Vietnamese places and self-serve but many others won't like it. I got up to ask for a scissor to cut my meats. Server was in a hurry and spill fish sauce bowl when putting them on our table. Yes - they taste good but they smell. Then got up again to ask for chopstick helper for my non-Asian co-worker. Nobody comes to check on us. Other than slow service, everything else was great! Parking - there are plenty in the front since it is in a big shopping area.
Last minute stop off the freeway. Right across from CHOC. Pleasantly surprised. The pho was good. Service was quick. Plenty of seating. The springs rolls were just ok. Currently you get free drink with order of an entree.
After walking around The Outlets at Orange, going to Simply Pho seemed like a great option. It was nearby and had good reviews. The restaurant had a nice ambiance. The servers were able to accommodate me at a table with enough space for my stroller. They even moved a chair so the rest of my family and baby could be more comfortable. So nice! A different waiter took our order and was also super friendly, and had amazing customer service. I ordered the main pho plate, which was huge and tasty. I almost couldn't finish it. A family member ordered the seafood pho and took leftovers home. Another family member ordered a chicken plate and looked very good. We also ordered egg rolls and boba drinks. My family thought the boba drinks were too sweet, but I don't mind the sweetness. By the time we were ready to leave, almost every table at the restaurant was occupied. We also got complimentary tapioca desert, which was totally unexpected and delicious!
4.5 stars. Was surprised there was a wait for dinner during a weeknight. It was a mixed customer base. We tried a rice dish and a pho. Both were honestly pretty decent and would not mind coming back here if we were craving pho. They also gave a little, warm sago dessert at the end (is this the norm?) which I enjoyed!
